1638 EAA Leadership
The Forest Lake Airport has been approved by the Experimental Aircraft Association to conduct business as Chapter 1638.
The first Chapter Meeting was held on October 30, 2019.

Dear Members and Friends of EAA Chapter 1638,
As of January 1, 2026, EAA Chapter 1638 will enter inactive status. This change is temporary and simply reflects that we currently do not have enough volunteer leaders to support full chapter operations. Once we have a complete leadership team in place, we plan to reactivate the chapter and resume our traditional activities.
While the chapter is inactive, membership will remain complimentary. Registered members will continue to receive email updates from the Chapter President, so we encourage you to sign up and stay connected.
We are actively seeking individuals who may be interested in chapter leadership roles. Traditional responsibilities include:
Coordinating speakers for chapter events
Organizing and hosting chapter gatherings
Recruiting and welcoming new members
Managing social media and outreach efforts
Maintaining the chapter website and media contacts
Planning our annual fly-in breakfast and movie night
